The Montgomery Area Council on Aging (MACOA) has served seniors in the tri-county area of Montgomery, Autauga, and Elmore counties for more than 25 years. From MACOA's birth in 1972, the agency's purposes have been to assist senior citizens by providing services to promote independent living, offering opportunities to enhance quality of life, and increasing community awareness of senior issues. MACOA promotes independent, dignified, and meaningful living for senior citizens through a variety of programs that offer hope, care, sustenance, and opportunity to more than 2,500 seniors each month. MACOA's activities provide the warmth of family and home along with the hope, motivation, enjoyment, and means to live independently.
