The Archibald Travelers will soon be on the road again! Thursday, January 26 is the first day trip of 2017. Departure will be at 8:00am from the Fresh Market parking lot on Perry Hill Road aboard Capital Trailways traveling to Birmingham. Returning time is expected to be around 5pm. The trip will include tickets to watch an IMAX movie at the McWane Science Center as well as tickets to tour the Vulcan Museum and Tower. Vulcan is the world’s largest cast iron statue; made of 100,000 pounds of iron and 56 feet tall, he stands at the top of Red Mountain overlooking the city of Birmingham. But Vulcan ismore than just a statue—Vulcan Park and Museum features spectacular views of Birmingham, an interactive history museum that examines Vulcan and Birmingham’s story, a premier venue for private events, and a beautiful public park for visitors and locals to enjoy. The Archibald Travelers will also make a stop at Riverchase Galleria for the ultimate shopping destination and delicious food! Lunch will be Dutch treat at the Galleria. Feel free to bring a guest!
