MEALS ON WHEELS VOLUNTEER TRAINING:
Volunteer training is required for all volunteers to receive an orientation to MACOA along with important information regarding volunteering with the organization.
Volunteer training is held every Thursday from 10:30 am to 11:00 am
at the MACOA Office in downtown Montgomery.
Please contact Pam Goodwin by phone (334) 263-0532, (334) 240-6767, or by email firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP for the volunteer training and to get signed up as a volunteer with MACOA!
Meals on Wheels Drivers: Deliver MOW on a route consisting of 10-14 stops. The route takes approximately 1 hour to complete. We ask for (at the minimum) a two-days-per-month commitment. We are recruiting businesses as corporate route partners as well as community volunteers.
Welcome Center Volunteer: Volunteer will greet the public, answer multi-line phone and distribute frozen meals. We work in four hour shifts.
Frozen Meals Volunteer: Helps cook and/or package food to be used in our Frozen Meals Program. It's a great opportunity for churches, service organizations, and individuals. This is a flexible volunteer opportunity, great for stay-at-home Moms.
MACOA Meal Makers: Features groups, organizations, businesses, churches, groups of friends, and any others that want to give back and make a difference in our community serving seniors. The MACOA Meals Makers help individually package food for meals in our kitchen located downtown in our office at 115 East Jefferson Street. Meals are packaged by volunteers and staff each Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 9:30 am for delivery to our home bound seniors clients that receive Meals on Wheels for a hot nutritious and delicious lunch!
A BIG MACOA THANK YOU TO OUR VOLUNTEERS AS WE CELEBRATED THEM AT A RECENT VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION RECEPTION
